Dear Parents/Guardians of Future Campers,

This year, CampMed 2020 will be held from April 17-19 at Griffith Park. To make you feel comfortable with sending your child to CampMed, there are many rules & regulations we have in place throughout camp.

 

Friday afternoon, buses from UCLA will go to your child's school to pick them up for camp. They will ride with their classmates, as well as their UCLA counselors for the weekend. Along with 40 UCLA undergraduate students, we are accompanied throughout the entire weekend by our organization's advisor, park rangers and park security.

We encourage campers to bring snacks, however we do provide meals throughout the weekend. If your child has dietary restrictions, please let us know and/or make any necessary arrangements.

Campers will stay in cabins of roughly 10 students, as well as 2-3 counselors. Cabins and bathrooms are separated by boys & girls.

​

To optimize their experience at camp, campers are asked to turn in their phones to our board members. As we have a full schedule each day, many campers become so immersed in the activities, they forget about their phones entirely! However, if contact with a parent or guardian is needed, campers are more than welcome to use a UCLA student's or their own phone.
